I LOVE destination weddings.

Love them.

Being a destination wedding photographer is often thought of as traveling outside of the country. While this is true, most of my “destination weddings” are actually in places like Utah, Iowa, Disney World and other areas of the United States.

This time I had the opportunity to travel to Iowa City, Iowa to photograph the wedding of Lindsey and Keith.

I love photographing in Iowa. It’s beautiful. I love the corn fields, the barns and farms, the fields of flowers, the lakes, the massive trees. It’s a photographer’s paradise.

Lindsey and Keith’s wedding day was awesome. We had a brilliant blue sky with scattered puffy white clouds making for a beautiful back drop. We began the day with couple photos taken at the ped mall in downtown Iowa City, an adorable old red barn and a breathtaking open field of wheat-like grasses. The ceremony was held at an amazingly beautiful church followed by a reception at a great restaurant downtown. The day could not have gone more smoothly and it was a joy to be a part of such a sweet couple’s wedding day!
