Every once in a while I do a newborn session where the baby literally sleeps the entire time. This was one of those.

Well, that’s not entirely true……..

When we first arrived at City Park in Denver, Colorado to photograph little newborn Everett his mom wanted to do the ever-so-cute nakie photos. {You know, the ones that are only appropriate while they’re newborns….but they’re simply the BEST!} So I set up the first scene and Everett’s mom giggled as she presented him in all the glory of his birthday suit.

Everett was not as amused as we were.

He objected.

BIG TIME.

After we realized that Everett was  not going to be consoled we decided to try swaddling him up. The moment that Everett was swaddled he fell fast asleep and remained sleeping for over an hour! All the while we were moving him from bowls to baskets and even into his three year old sister’s arms! What a champ. He was born to be a baby model.

This must be what they mean when people say: “I slept like a baby.”

Being a Denver photographer is so much fun! Especially when my teeniest, tiniest clients cooperate! Thanks Everett for being the most perfect little baby model, making my job as a Denver baby photographer so much more fun.
